We are heartbroken at the loss of Charlie Kirk, who was murdered while doing what he so often did, speaking boldly and without apology for what is right, for Biblical truth. He was more than a leader — he was a courageous voice who stood unashamedly for truth, America, Judeo Christian values, and was a steadfast friend of Israel.
Charlie gave young people courage to defend freedom, and he reminded Christians and Jews alike of the importance of standing together in the face of evil.
Today we grieve with his family, friends, and all who loved him. May his memory be a blessing, and may we honor him by continuing the fight he carried so boldly: to speak truth, defend God’s people, and never remain silent
Charlie Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012 when he was just 18 years old. In little more than a decade, he built it into one of the largest conservative youth organizations in the country. He became a fixture on cable news, in churches, and on college campuses, where he challenged students to think differently about faith, freedom, and responsibility.
But beyond the headlines, Charlie will be remembered by many of us as a consistent and outspoken defender of Israel.
A Voice for Israel
Charlie used his platform to speak clearly about Israel’s right to defend itself, especially after October 7. He condemned antisemitism on campuses and in politics, often at personal cost.
He reminded audiences that Israel is not just another ally but the land where God’s covenant people live, the cradle of Christianity, and the frontline of the battle against terrorism.
“We cannot allow the world’s oldest hatred to masquerade as social justice,” Charlie said in 2024, as antisemitism spiked after Hamas’ invasion. His words resonated deeply with Christians and Jews who saw in him a bold ally.
Turning Point hosted Israeli leaders, sent delegations of students to Israel, and regularly defended the Jewish state against slander in the media. Charlie never wavered.
Why It Matters
Charlie Kirk’s death is a tragedy — for his family, for the movement he built, and for all who found courage through his voice. When a man so boldly committed to truth and to Israel is silenced by violence, it is a reminder of the cost of speaking out in today’s world.
As Modern-Day Esthers, we are called to take up the mantle. To speak when others will not. To defend Israel even when it is unpopular. To be fearless in standing against antisemitism and evil.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, we grieve the loss of Charlie Kirk. Comfort his wife, family, friends, and all who looked to him as a leader. We thank You for his courage and his defense of Israel and fight for Judeo Christian values across America. Raise up others who will continue to speak truth boldly. May we, like Esther and Charlie, be faithful to use our voices in the time You have given us. Amen.
