The Oldest Lie, Told Again

Have we ever noticed how quickly the world points a finger at the Jewish people whenever tragedy strikes? After 9/11, whispers spread about Israel. During COVID, Jews were accused of engineering a global pandemic. And now, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the same pattern emerges again.

Within hours, conspiracy theories exploded across social media. On X, hashtags accused Mossad—Israel’s intelligence service—of orchestrating his death. Anonymous accounts claimed it was the work of “professional Israeli operatives.” One viral post declared: “This was no random act—this was Mossad silencing one of Israel’s loudest defenders.”

It is baseless. It is reckless. And it is nothing new. It is the ancient blood libel reborn in digital form.

In the Middle Ages, Jews were accused of poisoning wells during plagues or using Christian blood in rituals. In Nazi Germany, Jews were blamed for economic collapse and accused of plotting world domination. Today, the platforms are different, but the lies are the same.

As Christian Women for Israel, we must recognize this for what it is: not just hateful rhetoric, but a weapon of spiritual warfare aimed at dividing Christians from their Jewish brothers and sisters.

A Strategy Rooted in Darkness

The Bible warns us: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)

These accusations do not rise in a vacuum. They follow a broader strategy—one that has been articulated openly.

In 1991, a Muslim Brotherhood leader authored the Explanatory Memorandum, uncovered during a U.S. terrorism trial. It describes a long-term plan:

“The process of settlement is a Civilization-Jihadist Process with all that the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

This “civilization jihad” does not rely on bombs. It relies on infiltration: into universities, media, politics, nonprofits, and interfaith spaces. It seeks to erode freedom, silence truth, and sow division until the Judeo-Christian foundation of the West collapses.

When Jewish students are shouted down on campuses… when Christian leaders are de-platformed… when Israel is blamed for violence it did not commit—these are not random. They are fruits of a long war of deception.

Geopolitical Storm Clouds

While cultural subversion gnaws at the West, the global picture grows darker still.

The prophet Ezekiel foretold a day when a vast coalition would rise against Israel:

“Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him… In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate.” (Ezekiel 38:1, 8)

Many Bible teachers see Russia in Gog, with nations like Iran, Turkey, Sudan, and Libya as allies. Today, we are witnessing alliances that look eerily similar. Russia grows closer to Iran and Turkey. China partners with Russia to undermine the West. Iran fuels proxies like Hamas and Hezbollah.

The very nations Ezekiel named are aligning before our eyes. At the same time, Western resolve weakens. America is divided. Europe hesitates. College campuses celebrate Hamas as “resistance.” Christian voices are silenced by intimidation.

The enemy’s strategy is twofold: weaken from within, surround from without.

The Battle Cry of a Widow

In the face of such darkness, another voice rose. Charlie’s widow, Erika Kirk, spoke from the depth of her grief:

“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

Her words thunder across the silence, summoning courage in the Church. Her grief became a declaration that truth will not be buried, and that lies will not have the final word.

Shouldn’t her courage challenge us? If a grieving widow can cry out with fire, will we, with the Spirit’s armor and God’s promises, remain silent?

Esther’s Moment

In Esther’s day, Haman’s lies nearly brought destruction to the Jewish people. He used fear, propaganda, and political manipulation to set genocide in motion. But Esther, at great personal risk, stepped into her calling:

“If you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place… And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

We are living in an Esther moment. The lies are multiplying. The threats are growing. The nations are aligning against Israel. And the Church is being tested: will we speak—or will we remain silent?

Putting on the Armor

Paul urges us: “Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.” (Ephesians 6:13)

  • The belt of truth counters lies.

  • The shield of faith extinguishes fear.

  • The helmet of salvation anchors our hope.

  • The sword of the Spirit—God’s Word—cuts through deception.

We are not powerless. We are not voiceless. We are not victims. We are Esthers.

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” — Ephesians 5:11

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

Today’s Prayer

Lord, we see the schemes of the enemy—old lies rising again in new forms. We grieve Charlie Kirk’s death. We reject the blood libel blaming Israel and the Jewish people. We see the strategies of infiltration and the alliances forming around Israel.

We pray a hedge of protection over Erika Kirk. Strengthen her as she rises to speak truth amid grief. Let her widow’s cry echo like a trumpet of courage, protected by Your Spirit.

Clothe us in Your armor. Raise us up as Esthers in our generation—bold, discerning, unshakable. Make us women who expose lies, defend Israel, and speak Your truth, even when the world would silence us.

For such a time as this, Lord, we will not shrink back. In the name of Yeshua, Amen.
