Antisemitism today doesn’t wear a swastika.
It wears a keffiyeh. A progressive pin. A social justice banner.
And in Sarah Levin’s powerful Times of Israel blog, she names this heartbreaking shift for what it is—a betrayal cloaked in activism.
“You, my fellow Jews, abandoned by progressive colleagues and friends, have responded with courage and clarity.”
In Walking With Dignity: A Response to Modern Antisemitism, Levin—executive director of JIMENA—offers one of the most important essays we’ve read in months. She traces the evolution of antisemitism from Soviet propaganda to present-day activist slogans, exposing how today’s hatred has become mainstream, weaponized, and accepted in elite circles that once claimed moral authority.
This is no longer just about Israel. It’s about you. It’s about being a Jew—or someone who stands with the Jewish people—and watching the ground shift beneath your feet.
And her call to action is clear:
“We must walk away—not with bitterness, but with dignity.”
What does it mean to walk away with dignity? In Sarah Levin’s powerful essay, she’s not calling for retreat—she’s calling for strength. She’s urging Jews to step out of spaces that no longer honor truth. Spaces that demand silence on antisemitism. That weaponize “justice” while erasing Jewish history. That ask Jews to prove their humanity again and again. Levin challenges us to disengage—not out of anger, but with clarity and courage. “We must walk away—not with bitterness, but with dignity,” she writes. Dignity, in this case, means choosing self-respect over forced assimilation, truth over appeasement, and covenant over compromise.
As Christian Women for Israel, we stand with Levin’s call. We honor the Mizrahi and Sephardic Jewish voices that warned us of this ideological storm decades ago. We will not be silent, nor will we let fear or shame keep us from telling the truth.
This is the time for clear language. For brave alliances. For spiritual inheritance. For remembering that our strength does not come from public favor—but from covenant.
