This week, StopAntisemitism, a grassroots watchdog organizationnamed media personality Tucker Carlson as Antisemite of the Week for spreading harmful stereotypes and giving a platform to voices of hate.

But rather than dwell on those who divide, we choose to spotlight those who defend.
If there’s an “antisemite of the Week,” there must also be an Esther of the Week — a woman who uses her influence to protect, uplift, and speak light into the darkness.
This week, that Esther is Lizzy Savetsky.
Faith, Fashion, and Fearless Identity
When Jewish influencer Lizzy Savetsky stepped onto the red carpet at the UJA’s Generosity Gala wearing a corset emblazoned with the Star of David, she wasn’t making a fashion statement — she was making a faith statement.
Originally designed in 1999 by Israeli fashion designer Galit Levi for Miss Israel Rana Raslan, the corset had symbolized coexistence and national unity. Twenty-five years later, Savetsky wore the same piece to remind the world that Israel’s light still shines.
“This corset is not just a gorgeous piece of fashion history, but it also symbolizes pride and unity,” Savetsky told The Jewish Journal.
“It’s a symbol of hope for the future.”
That phrase — a symbol of hope for the future — perfectly captures Lizzy’s mission. Every post, every appearance, every act of open Jewish pride declares: “We will not hide.”
When antisemitism spreads online, she wears her faith publicly. When Israel is under attack, she becomes a digital soldier for truth. When others retreat, she stands tall, a wife, mother, and unapologetic advocate for her people.
Two Fronts, One Battle
Since October 7, Lizzy has doubled down on her advocacy.
“There are two wars happening: the one on the ground, and the one on social media,” she said. “My battleground is on the digital front, and my fight has been a relentless one. I feel a huge responsibility to spread truth in a sea of lies and empower my own people to stand loud and proud as unapologetic Jews.”
Her words echo the Book of Esther itself — the story of a woman who found her purpose in a moment of crisis. Like Esther, Lizzy recognizes that her voice is her weapon and her influence her calling.
The North Star of Her Faith
Savetsky calls her Jewish identity her “North Star.”
“It’s who I come from, my value system and my whole purpose. I cannot separate my Jewish identity from the land of Israel because they are inextricably linked. As Jews, we don’t just need Israel; Israel is a part of who we are at our core from biblical times.”
Her love for Israel began at 18, during her first visit to the land. “My soul felt at home,” she recalls. That love now fuels her resolve to speak for truth — to defend Israel against lies on every platform, from the United Nations to social media feeds.
Let It Shine
“We have two choices as Jews in a moment like this: to hide who we are and try to exist under the radar, or to fully embrace our identity and wear it with pride,” Lizzy said. “I think it means a lot to people to see such a beautiful statement that says, ‘I’m here, I’m Jewish, and I am going to let it shine.’”
This is the spirit of Esther — not a queen behind palace walls, but a woman who walks into danger armed with faith and identity.
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
— Esther 4:14 (NIV)
Every time Lizzy posts, speaks, or steps out in faith, she reminds us that courage is contagious — and that God still raises Esthers in every generation.
