"Let My People Go": A Call for Freedom Echoes Through Israel's History

In a moment that recalls the ancient cry of Moses before Pharaoh, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu invoked powerful words: "Let my people go!" This bold declaration wasn’t directed at an ancient oppressor, but at Hamas—the terror group that has held Israeli hostages captive since the horrific attacks on October 7, 2023. Just as Pharaoh hardened his heart and refused to free the Israelites, Hamas continues to resist all efforts to release the innocent men, women, and children it holds in bondage.

In the days ahead, Netanyahu has vowed to increase military and political pressure on Hamas, much like the plagues of Egypt were used to break Pharaoh’s grip on the people of Israel. The parallels are striking, reminding us that Israel’s fight for freedom has always been a part of its prophetic journey.

A Modern-Day Exodus: Israel's Struggle for Freedom

The story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt is not just a historical event—it is a profound picture of redemption, freedom, and God’s faithfulness. Today, as Israel continues its war against Hamas, we see echoes of that same struggle. Over 100 hostages remain in Gaza, and Israel’s efforts to bring them home are a powerful modern-day exodus—a battle to free its people from the grip of terror.

A Turning Point in the Battle: The Death of Yahya Sinwar

News broke recently that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the horrific attacks of October 7, 2023, has been killed by the Israeli military. Sinwar was a major obstacle to securing a ceasefire and the release of hostages. His death marks a significant turning point in this long and painful conflict. As we reflect on this event, we pray that it may be the beginning of the end of the war—a glimmer of hope for the families waiting for their loved ones still held in captivity. May this be a step toward peace, freedom, and the safe return of the remaining hostages.

For Christian Women for Israel, this is not just a geopolitical conflict—it’s a spiritual one. We stand as modern-day Esthers, called to advocate, pray, and support Israel in this critical moment. The year 5785 is a prophetic year of grace and redemption, and we believe that God’s plan for Israel is unfolding before our eyes. Just as Moses stood before Pharaoh and declared the will of God, so too must we stand in support of Israel’s freedom and safety.

A Call to Action: How Can We Stand with Israel?

As we reflect on the ongoing conflict and the battle to free the hostages, the words of Exodus echo in our hearts: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). But being "still" doesn’t mean being passive—it means trusting God’s plan while taking action. As Christians, we are called to be watchmen on the walls, interceding for Israel and standing in solidarity with God’s chosen people.

This year, we have an opportunity to make a tangible difference. Through Christian Women for Israel’s campaign to place bomb shelters across Israel, we are helping provide physical protection for families living under the constant threat of attack. These shelters are life-saving sanctuaries—places where Israeli citizens can find refuge in times of danger.

How Will You Respond?

As modern-day Esthers, we cannot remain silent. We must pray for Israel, advocate for its security, and support those who are working tirelessly to defend it. By wearing the yellow ribbon lapel pin, you can show your solidarity with Israel and serve as a reminder to others to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and safe return of the hostages. Every pin sold helps fund our efforts to protect Israeli families through the construction of bomb shelters.

Let us remember the words of Moses and stand with Israel in this prophetic season. Just as God delivered His people from Egypt, we trust in His plan for the redemption and protection of Israel today. Will you join us?

And as you join us in praising the Living God for the miracle of the modern-day state of Israel, we pray you’ll renew your own resolve to bless Israel and the Jewish people by giving a generous gift of support.

May God bless you for being a blessing to Israel and the Jewish people

Yes, I want to Bless the Jewish People in Israel!
