Miracle & Miles Part 1: Learning of Healing Miracles
Esthers, we are so excited to share a miracle with you today. This miracle was in the life and family of Kristina King, a modern-day Esther! The Esther 414 Foundation is honored to have Kristina as a member of our Board of Directors. Kristina serves as the African American Affairs Director for Passages and The Philos Project. She is a devote Christian. It is through Kristina and her love for Christ, The Esther 414 Foundation and the Christian Women For Israel program learned of her families’ amazing miracle which we will be speaking about today.
With her on this journey is one of our very own Mordecai’s, Michael Davis, which will be participating in the Jerusalem Marathon in the Holy Land on March 15, 2019. This incredible faith leader and athlete will be running each mile (26.22) in honor of the miracles he has witnessed and experienced. Wow that is some commitment!
Michael is dedicated to praying for healing miracles with each step he runs. He is trusting in the Word that miracles will occur. “Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them from distress. He sent out His word and healed them. He rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107: 19-20
As Christ-followers, we believe there is no illness that God cannot heal and this is something Michael and his family have experienced firsthand!
In 2018, there were 4 prophetic events which occurred to their family.
1. Kristina King, the African American Affairs Director for Passages and The Philos Project, planned on traveling to Israel for one of their many trips in the winter. Her mother insisted on her not attending. Instead, she encouraged her to stay home and rest. With humor and a true daughter's reply, she laughed and brushed off the repeated suggestions.
2. Kristina's mother (Miss Sarah) was traveling in late 2018, she kept telling Kristina that her friend AJ was going to drive her back to New York. AJ had decided to move to New York and stay with Miss. Sarah while returning to college. Miss Sarah's trip from New York to Tulsa took a toll on her physically. She was experiencing back pain and her children knew that it would not be a good idea for her to drive back. However, she kept insisting that AJ was going to drive her back. This was VERY unusual.
3. In the summer of 2018, Kristina's three sons, her cousin Mike, and AJ visited during summer break. The entire summer was spent with Miss. Sarah and the family bonded.
4. In the late 2018, Kristina had plans to spend a few months during the fall in Montana. She was excited to rent a home for the entire family to be together during football season! Her twin boys play football for the University of Montana and she was determined to watch their senior year games. Miss. Sarah had promised to join the family.
But God had other plans. The Sunday after Thanksgiving, Kristina received a call. There was something terribly wrong with her mother. In fear, she called her brother. He was a physician. Within minutes, Miss Sarah was brought to the ER. Only 12 hours later, Kristina's brother had traveled to be at his mother's bedside at the ICU in Tulsa. Kristina was stranded in Chicago with terrible weather and no outbound flights. She told herself, " Why the heck did I live in Chicago? I'm moving to the sun. Now, try to remain calm".
It took half a day, but she was able to get a flight. In her moments with God she pledged, "Thank you, God. Please don't let my mom die before I get there".
