“Show Me the Money!”: Cutting Off the Cash That Fuels Terrorism

As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to step back into the Oval Office, his administration’s first orders of business include a decisive shift in Middle East policy. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Trump’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Israel, is leading the charge with a clear mission: to end the financial flow fueling Iran’s support for terrorism.

“The fact remains that the real problem here is not Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Houthis. It’s Iran,” Huckabee stated in a recent Fox Business interview with Maria Bartiromo. For decades, Iran’s “money tree” has been the lifeline for these terrorist organizations. Now, Huckabee insists, that tree is about to be chopped down.

Show Me the Money… or should we say Shut Down the Money Tree!

Huckabee’s bold plan centers on reinstating Trump’s “maximum pressure campaign” on Iran. This strategy, first implemented during Trump’s initial term, effectively restricted Iran’s access to financial resources, crippling its ability to fund terrorist operations. Under the Biden administration, however, this approach was reversed, allowing Iran to rebuild its financial networks.

“You don’t negotiate with terrorists while they’re holding hostages,” Huckabee declared, pointing to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the harrowing accounts of Israeli civilians still in captivity. “Taking the money tree away from Iran will make it much harder for them to do their incredibly horrible and dastardly deeds of murdering civilians.”

From the Golan Heights to Gaza: A Proven Ally

Huckabee also highlighted Trump’s record as a steadfast supporter of Israel. During his first term, Trump made history by moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and formally recognizing the Golan Heights as part of Israel. These landmark actions cemented Trump’s reputation as one of the most pro-Israel U.S. presidents in history.

Now, as Trump prepares for a second term, his administration is signaling its intention to stand even firmer with Israel. Huckabee emphasized that this support is not just about words but about tangible actions, such as dismantling the financial pipelines that allow Iran to fund terror.

“Israel doesn’t just need allies in word but in deed,” Huckabee said. “The incoming administration will take every measure to ensure that the United States remains Israel’s most loyal partner.”

We are entering a new era of bold leadership!

Huckabee also spoke of Trump’s broader vision for reshaping American leadership, describing the incoming Cabinet as “disruptors” committed to challenging the status quo in Washington. “This is a president who doesn’t come to oil the machinery of D.C.,” Huckabee said. “He comes to disrupt it for the good of American families and allies like Israel.”

With figures like Florida Senator Marco Rubio and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem joining the team, the administration is poised to drive meaningful change on issues ranging from national security to Middle East policy. Huckabee stressed that cutting off Iran’s financial resources would not only benefit Israel but also enhance global stability.

Praise God: The End of Terror’s Cash Flow

The stakes are high, but the potential is even greater. “When the funding dries up, so does the capacity to wreak havoc,” Huckabee remarked. His words echo the hope and determination of a nation that has borne the brunt of terror for far too long.

As pro-Israel Christians, we see this as a moment to give thanks. The “money tree” that has fueled violence and destruction is finally being uprooted, and with it comes the promise of a safer, more secure Israel.

To borrow from the famous line in Jerry Maguire: “Show me the money!” Except this time, it’s about showing the world that the financial lifeline for terror is no more. And for that, we say, praise God.
