When the Battle Is Spiritual: A 3-Day Call to Prayer and Fasting

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice... to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?”
Isaiah 58:6

There are moments when the weight of the world presses in—when the noise, the chaos, and the sorrow are too deep for words. It’s in those moments that we step back from the world, turn down the volume, and press into the heart of God.

That’s the power of prayer and fasting.

Fasting is more than abstaining from food. It’s an invitation. An act of surrender. A declaration that says, “God, I want You more than anything else.” And when we combine fasting with focused, fervent prayer, we align our hearts with heaven’s agenda.

For Christian Women For Israel, fasting is part of our spiritual DNA. Esther, our namesake, fasted three days before risking her life to plead for the Jewish people (Esther 4:16). She didn’t act in anger—she fasted in faith.

We are calling all Modern-Day Esthers to join us in a 3-day fast—
—to stand in the gap for Israel,
—to intercede for the hostages,
—to break the spirit of antisemitism,
—and to ask God to bring revival in our day.

Why Fast for Israel Now?

Because Jewish lives are in danger.
Because the world is growing cold.
Because silence in the Church must be broken.
Because prayer and fasting are spiritual weapons God uses to change history.

This is your invitation.

Whether you fast from food, social media, or something else that distracts you, commit to three days of focused prayer. Open your Bible. Journal what you hear. Cry out for the peace of Jerusalem. And believe that God hears.

“When you fast...” Jesus said—not if. (Matthew 6:16)

He assumes His followers will fast. And when we do, Heaven moves.

Join us.
3 Days.
One Purpose: Israel.

Fasting and prayer for the peace of Jerusalem, the release of hostages, and the protection of God’s chosen people.
Take your place, Modern-Day Esther. This is your moment.

Today’s Prayer:
Lord, I set apart these next three days to seek You. Show me how to pray. Give me strength to fast. Speak to me through Your Word. And use my humble offering to bless Your people, defend Your Name, and prepare my heart for more of You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
