As Christian Women for Israel, we find ourselves in a moment that calls for prayerful reflection on the state of America, the world, and our role within it. With yesterday's retaliatory strikes by Israel against Iran, the rise of antisemitism on college campuses in the U.S., and the ongoing conversation about the state of democracy in our country, the stakes have never been higher.
This isn’t just a matter of politics or military strategy. It’s a moment in history where we, as modern-day Esthers, must consider what time it is. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” What time is it now, in the world, for those who stand with Israel? Is it a time to fight, to pray, to build, or to speak out?
Israel's retaliatory strikes against Iran serve as a stark reminder that the battle for Israel’s survival is not confined to its borders—it’s a spiritual battle that resonates with all who love her. Iran’s aggression is not merely aimed at Israel’s sovereignty but is an attack on the heart of those who cherish the values of freedom, democracy, and the protection of God's chosen people. The fact that Israel is often left to defend itself without sufficient international support, even as threats loom large, highlights the precarious nature of this time in history.
At the same time, we cannot ignore the rise of antisemitism, especially on American college campuses. What should be places of learning and dialogue have instead become battlegrounds where Jewish students fear for their safety simply for supporting Israel or wearing a kippah. This isn’t just about political disagreements—it’s a deeper issue that strikes at the heart of Jewish identity and safety in the modern world. The atmosphere of fear on college campuses serves as a wake-up call that the struggle for Israel’s right to exist doesn’t only happen in the Middle East. It is alive and well here in America, and that hatred manifests in subtle and overt ways that cannot be ignored.
As Christian Women for Israel, we must understand the gravity of the situation. There are movements—like those that champion slogans such as “Globalize the intifada!”—that go beyond mere opposition to Israel’s policies. These movements seek the destruction of the Jewish people. "Globalize the intifada" is not just a rallying cry for political change; it is a chilling call to arms that means "death to Jews everywhere." It’s not just about territory—it’s about the erasure of an entire people. We must not be silent when the very existence of God’s chosen people is under attack, be it in Israel or on the streets of America.
So, we ask ourselves: what time is it? King Solomon reminds us there is a time for war and a time for peace, but we also know that there is a time to act. As modern-day Esthers, we are called to rise, to stand with Israel, and to speak out in defense of God’s people. The time to protect Israel, both physically and spiritually, is now. It is not just Israel’s battle—it is our battle as well. We cannot afford to stand idly by, waiting for others to act. We must be the hands and feet of those who fight for Israel’s survival.
As we pray for peace, we also must work for it. Whether through our prayers, advocacy, or support for Israel’s humanitarian needs, our actions today reflect our commitment to being women of faith who do not stand idly by in times of trial.
Now is the time to choose wisely, to act with love and conviction, and to stand firm in our support for Israel and the Jewish people. We must remember that, like Esther, we were placed here "for such a time as this"—to defend Israel and the Jewish people in the face of great challenges.
In addition to our ongoing efforts to support Israel through prayer, advocacy, and action, we are excited to introduce our new daily newsletter, A Glorious Future. This curated newsletter brings you the latest news, views, and insights about Israel directly to your inbox, serving as a valuable resource for Modern-Day Esthers who want to stay informed and engaged. Whether it's political updates, spiritual reflections, or news from the ground, A Glorious Future will keep you connected to Israel and the Jewish people.
We chose the name A Glorious Future to remind us of the prophetic hope that God has for His people and the land of Israel. Just as Harry Truman, one of Israel’s great supporters, said, “I have faith in Israel... I believe it has a glorious future before it,” we believe that standing with Israel today is part of fulfilling that vision for the future. Our newsletter reflects that hope, offering news and perspectives that point toward Israel's resilience, strength, and divine purpose. Stay informed, stay engaged, and stand with Israel—because the future is indeed glorious.
And as you join us in praising the Living God for the miracle of the modern-day state of Israel, we pray youā€™ll renew your own resolve to bless Israel and the Jewish people by giving a generous gift of support.
May God bless you for being a blessing to Israel and the Jewish people
