Trump as Jehu: Will America Face Its 'Jezebel' Moment?

In a recent discussion making waves in Christian and political circles, renowned Messianic pastor and author Jonathan Cahn shared a compelling analogy at the National Faith Summit, drawing a parallel between former President Donald Trump and the biblical King Jehu. This interpretation has captivated many, particularly those in the Christian community who view today’s cultural battles through the lens of biblical prophecy and spiritual warfare.

Cahn’s insights are significant. As reported by Asaf Elia-Shalev, Cahn addressed hundreds of Christian leaders, stating, “President Trump, you were born into the world to be a trumpet of God, a vessel of the Lord in the hands of God. God called you to walk according to the template; He called you according to the template of Jehu, the warrior king.” This comparison isn’t made lightly; Jehu was a figure who rose with divine purpose to cleanse the land of corruption and idolatry, most famously defeating the wicked...

Standing with Trader Joe’s Against Unjust Pressure

In a time when supporting Israel can lead to unfair backlash, Trader Joe’s finds itself at the center of controversy. According to Shiryn Ghermezian, writing for The Algemeiner, the grocery chain is facing significant pressure from the anti-Israel activist group Code Pink, which has called for a boycott of Israeli products in their stores. Their petition, which claims that Trader Joe’s must stop stocking items from Israel "until Israel respects international law and human rights for Palestinians," has attracted over 14,000 signatures, nearing its goal of 15,000.

The products targeted include popular items such as Israeli feta cheese, Bamba peanut snacks, and frozen garlic and ginger cubes from Dorot. In a video shared online, Code Pink supporters were seen storming a Trader Joe’s store, dramatically pulling Israeli products from the shelves and labeling sections as “the apartheid aisle” or “genocide aisle.” One protester went as far as...

A 13-Year-Old Boy Attacked: The Alarming Reality of Rising Antisemitism in New York

The alarming rise in antisemitic violence has once again struck the heart of New York City. In a recent, deeply troubling incident, a 13-year-old Orthodox Jewish boy was assaulted on his way to school in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. As reported by Dion J. Pierre, the young boy was targeted without provocation, facing violence simply for his identity and faith.

According to local Jewish leader Yaacov Behrman, who shared details on social media, the boy arrived at school visibly shaken. Behrman, serving as a liaison for Chabad Headquarters, emphasized that the boy’s parents and the Crown Heights Shomrim—a community group focused on safety and monitoring antisemitism—were promptly informed. This attack follows closely on the heels of another incident just days prior, where a Jewish man was slashed in the face while walking through downtown Brooklyn.

Yisrael Eliashiv, the boy’s teacher, shared an impassioned response, illustrating the deep concern felt within the...

United States Warns Iran

The situation in the Middle East continues to intensify as reports emerge detailing potential Iranian plans to target Israel in retaliation for recent military strikes. According to ToI Staff's coverage, the U.S. has issued stern warnings to Tehran, indicating that it "won’t be able to hold Israel back" should Iran launch another attack. This statement, cited from unnamed American and Israeli officials and reported by Axios, reflects the high-stakes environment and the fine line both nations tread.

Following Israel's retaliatory strikes on Iranian military sites on October 26, which came in response to Iran's earlier missile assault, the tension between the two nations has only deepened. These strikes, which targeted crucial air defenses and missile production capabilities, were described as having crippled Iran's ballistic missile infrastructure and vital air defense systems. Despite public reassurances, satellite imagery and global media reports show extensive damage at key...

New Hope and Heartache: 51 Israeli Hostages Confirmed Alive

In a deeply moving update shared by Yoav Limor of JNS.org, Israeli intelligence has confirmed that 51 out of 101 hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza are believed to be alive. This revelation comes from a combination of public and classified intelligence gathered after the harrowing events of Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas unleashed a brutal attack on Israel. This data not only exposes the dire circumstances these hostages face but also reflects the unwavering resolve of Israel to protect and rescue its people.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already shared this difficult truth with the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, reinforcing that roughly half of the hostages are thought to still be alive. “Some families have accepted the government’s conclusions about presumed deaths, while others are holding out for definitive proof,” Limor reports. The heartache for these families is immeasurable, but their faith and resilience mirror Israel's spirit as a...

How can we learn from the Book of Esther about overcoming the “Haman” in our lives?

Esther’s story is more than an ancient narrative; it holds timeless lessons on facing and overcoming evil. The plot against Mordechai, orchestrated by Haman, was a stark reminder that evil often operates subtly, waiting for an opportunity to strike. Today, it may not be in the form of gallows, but it emerges in deception, hate, and oppression. Look at your life today—where is evil lurking, ready to ensnare you? It could be a toxic influence, injustice, or spiritual indifference.

First, recognize evil for what it is. Esther and Mordechai discerned the true nature of Haman's intentions, understanding that they faced more than political maneuvering; they faced a threat against their people. As Ephesians 5:11 reminds us, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Identifying the wrong around and within us is essential in resisting it.

Second, prepare spiritually. Esther’s preparation was marked by fasting and prayer, not...
